The Baltic Assembly Art Prize will be awarded to Latvian conductor Kaspars Putniņš for the exceptional concert “Dream Steam” performed with the Latvian Radio Choir, which concluded the Baltic Music Days 2023 festival in Rīga, Latvia.
The concert’s title work, Dream Steam, was composed by Estonian composer Märt-Matis Lill. The program also featured compositions by Ruta Paidere, Mārtiņš Viļums, Nomeda Valančiūtė, Rytis Mažulis, and Krists Auznieks, representing the rich creative landscape of contemporary Baltic music.
This recognition highlights Kaspars Putniņš’ outstanding contribution to Baltic musical culture and his dedication to presenting innovative and inspiring choral performances across the region.
